Welcome to Forty Cakes!
My name is Karla and after bouncing around a little bit (Hawaii, Seattle, Hawaii) I am currently living in Southwest Florida with my husband, The Bean, Rosie and an assortment of pets. By day, I am a working professional (in the environmental field), adjunct faculty for a local college, and a full-time, hands-on mom. By night (or in the wee hours of the morning), I am the head writer, recipe tester and travel authority of this here little blog. As a family, we love to travel and have adventures and we love to eat. We also love to be outside, be active, and explore the world.
