My nephew turned 13! It is hard to believe. Isn’t he a cutie? Not only that—he is extremely nice, smart, and considerate. He is one special kid.
To celebrate, we met him at Weeki Wachee State Park, home of the mermaids (post coming soon) and my nephew wanted everyone to dress Wacky at Weeki Wachee….and so we did. After our fun day there, he and my sister came to visit for a week. The whole week was filled with mermaids including marathon sessions of Just Add Water–an Australian teenage mermaid show, and we even jumped into the pool with long dresses on trying to simulate mermaid tails….and when I say we, I mean “me”. Wow, the kids were surprised when I jumped in fully clothed. It was great to spend time with them before they head off to the Azores for three months.
We are enjoying our first ever Tropical Storm experience with Debby hitting the Gulf Coast of Florida this week. So far the storm has been pretty mild—lots of rain, a tiny bit of lightening, and some amazing wind. I’ve heard a bunch of people complain about it but I love it. Maybe it is the scientist in me but I get excited to hear the latest National Hurricane Center report, like looking at the spaghetti models and monitoring the wind speeds. It might be hereditary because my sister does the same thing. We are both dorky scientists, I suppose.
I quit Crossfit yesterday. It makes me sad because I liked it so much but I was having such a hard time getting there and felt I wasn’t really seeing progress. I think I’ll be better off focusing on running and the classes they have at the YMCA. I also joined Weight Watchers Online…..to keep better track of what I have been eating. I’m trying to be good but it is only 3 pm and I only have 3 points left for the day. Yikes! Looks like I’ll be having salad for dinner. Have you had success on Weight Watchers? Are you on it now?
I am working on an exciting life development. I don’t want to talk about it yet as to not jinx it but…….I have the possibility of a really cool adventure and I should know the details in the next few weeks. Cross your fingers for me! The problem is….I don’t know if I should think about it all the time -OR- just put it out of my mind and just hope that it comes to light. What would you do?
So, if you have been reading for the giveaway, I won’t make you wait any longer.
Mott’s Fruit Flavored Snacks sent me a box filled with fruit snacks and wants to send the same gift pack to FOUR of my readers!
In your gift package, you will get 6 boxes for the fruit flavored snacks. Although I am not a huge fan of processed snacks–sometimes it is nice to have them around. And, these particular snacks you can feel good about. They are made with real fruit and vegetable juice, no high fructose corn syrup, and no gelatin…so they are fine for vegetarians. These are prefect for school lunches, road trips or to just throw in your purse for a quick after swim practice treat.

These have no high fructose corn syrup and no gelatin. They must have a different consistency than other brands of fruit snacks. I bet these taste way better too.
I like you on facebook. Since you reference sending a friend over for one of the entries, I will mention that Tim sent me.
